Hidden Stream

In the art of calligraphy, the thuluth style is the aesthetic declaration of the curved linearity that touches eternity. Each letter, with its unique shape, symbolizes the finite expression of infinite existence. The representational capability of individual letters achieves an inexhaustible allegorical integrity in a bounded compositional space. 

In this work, the artist focuses on the light-colored composition of jali thuluth letters on a dark background without any concern for meaning. He proposes instantaneous and golden cutting from the flow of representation of the letters.  The crystallization of the two-dimensional letters, crystallized thanks to the light transmittance, on the darkness is impressive. The color set chosen also enhances this effect. The stain, which is condensed thanks to the opportunity provided to the artist by the anatomy of the jali thulth letter, drags the viewer's focus out of the frame and offers the illusion of a moving flow. “Hidden Flow” reveals the silent movement within the form, an aesthetic captured not with the eye but with perception. Everything is hidden between the letters, under the layers and within the flow.
